Ferentium (modern Ferento) was a city of Etruria first mentioned in the Liber Coloniarum ca. 123 BC that became a Roman municipium after the Social War. Substantial remains of the city remain; the site was the birthplace of Otho and noted for its fine stone monuments and statues.
